Property Data

We obtain property assessment data from third-party data providers and public records to generate our analysis reports.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our site. GA4 receives anonymized event data such as whether an audit was started, whether a gap was found, and whether a purchase was completed. Your full property address is never sent to Google. You can opt out of GA4 tracking via your browser's cookie settings or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

Client-Side Storage

To provide a seamless experience (e.g., remembering your audit results if you navigate away), PropGap stores your email address and audit data in your browser's local storage. This data does not leave your device unless you actively submit the checkout form. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or site data in your browser settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

Payment Processors: Stripe processes all payments securely; we never store your card details
Email Services: We use Resend for transactional emails (receipts, report links, deadline reminders). Emails are logged internally for customer support and quality assurance purposes
Analytics: Google Analytics 4 receives anonymized usage events (see Analytics section above)
Data Providers: We query licensed third-party property data APIs (including RentCast) to generate comparable sales analysis; your address is transmitted to these providers solely to return property data
Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or valid legal process

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Payment information is processed directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for the periods described below:

Account & purchase records: 7 years (required for tax and financial record-keeping)
Email address (non-purchasers): 12 months from last interaction, then deleted
Property audit data: 24 months from the date of analysis
Analytics data (GA4): 14 months (Google Analytics default retention)

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at info@propgap.ai. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
